Threadgill successfully tied up all the loose ends, and my heartrate finally returned to normal. Once it did, I realized I had no clue what would happen next. I found it rather gruesome, and yet, I kept reading. It grabbed me from the beginning, just like any suspense is supposed to do. Oh my! This wasn’t a thriller I wanted to read, so why did I continue? Simple. Goodness, what a choice? The minute I started reading, I wanted to slam the book shut, but it was too late, I had to know what was going to happen.
However, I decided to read outside my genre, so I picked up Tom Threadgill’s Coming of Winter. I’ve always preferred reading suspense, romantic suspense, or even a contemporary romance.
